Oh Crumbs! Bakery, Cake & Sweet Shop

After many years of creating Celebration cakes, tray bakes and tasty treats for friends & family from home, it was time to find a space where we could continue to create our wonderful treats, whilst being able to give the kitchen and fridge space at home back! Darren found a small shop space being leased in Parbold Village and on the 8th January 2024 we opened our doors for the first time to extend our love of baking to commuters and residents of the village every day, not only on those special occasions. An opportunity presented itself in mid February to take over the adjoining unit, and in March, we opened our traditional sweet shop & our seating area allowing our customers to gain access to even more sweet treats and an opportunity to relax with us to enjoy them!

Shop

We love to give a warm and friendly greeting to all visitors at the shop. We've opened up the space to make a warm and welcoming environment with pinks & greys and our twinkling cake drip ceiling decoration.

Hot Drinks

Providing hot espresso based coffee drinks, as well as a variety of teas and hot chocolates to get you going in the morning or for you to enjoy on your walk through the amazing village.

Bella's Bakes

Named after our Tzu-Chon (Shih Tzu crossed with a Bichon) Bella. Bella's bakes are a staple of the bakery each day. Every day we try to fill the display cabinet with a variety of yummy treats. We put a photo of the cabinet up on our Facebook page each day so you can quickly find out if your favourite piece is back on sale. Alternatively, if choosing is too difficult, we offer a 4 items for £7 deal!

Sweet Shop

Our newest addition to the shop, our Traditional sweet shop, offering 96 different types of sweets on our sweet wall, weighed out in the old traditional way so you can enjoy 112g (an old quarter!) of your favourite sweets, or you can make up a pick & mix bag of your favourite sweets. Looking at the wall is guaranteed to bring back many happy memories as a child! It did for us :)

Food Safety & Hygiene

We are extremely proud to have been awarded a Rating of 5 (Very Good) for Food Safety & Hygiene by the local council. Details can be found on the Food Safety Website.

Reducing Food Waste

We are proud to work with 'Too Good to Go' to offer lucky bags at the end of each of our working days where any stock which would potentially be wasted that night can be sold through their app for a reduced fee.

Louie's Lunches

Named after our CavaChon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel crossed with a Bichon) Louie. Our lunch time pastries offer includes our famous sausage rolls with 140g of tasty sausage meat in every one. Our sausage meat is provided by Reynold's Butchers next door who's reputation for quality needs to introduction. We also serve freshly baked meat based as well as Cheese & Onion pies each day. Our lunchtime deal includes a Lunch Pastry or sandwich, a sweet treat from the cabinet or bag of Pipers Crisps and a cold or medium hot drink for £4.95.

Function Space & Seating Area

We are pleased to offer our function space as an area for people to come and enjoy a coffee & cake with us in a quiet relaxed environment, surrounded by some of Darren's own art pieces. We can make the space available for meetings and small gatherings, with or without drinks & food packages. We exclusively use the space for delivering Afternoon Tea packages every Sunday. Many people enjoy using the space for a brew and sit down whilst waiting for a train, or whilst their pooches are being pampered at Vanity Fur Groomers, and some just like to take advantage of a little bit of serenity, and what is serenity without a tasty treat to accompany it!

Afternoon Tea Packages

Every Sunday, we offer two afternoon tea slots. 11:00-12:30 or 13:00-14:30. With package deals for 1,2 or 4 persons. A great opportunity to really indulge or treat that special someone, and with afternoon tea gift vouchers also available, they make great gifts too!
